Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit our website or contact us.
Last updated: 6 September 2026
NumaPet is the controller of personal information collected through this website. We use the minimum information needed to operate the site, respond to enquiries and arrange product demonstrations. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers on this website.
Who we are
This website is operated by NumaPet, a UK-based software business. In this policy, “NumaPet”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this website. For personal information collected through this website, NumaPet is the data controller.
You can contact us about privacy at hello@numapet.co.uk.
Scope of this policy
This policy applies when you browse NumaPet’s marketing website, send us an email or submit a demo request. It does not describe all processing carried out within a NumaPet customer workspace or by a pet-care business using the NumaPet platform. In those situations, the relevant business may be the data controller and its own privacy notice may also apply.
Our website and demo service are intended for business users and are not directed at children.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a demo or contact us, we may collect:
- your name, work email address and phone number;
- your business name, business type and number of locations;
- details of your current software and what you want help with; and
- anything else you choose to include in your message or correspondence.
Please do not include information about pets, customers, employees or health conditions in the free-text demo field. We do not need that information to arrange a demonstration.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting and security systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, referring page, timestamps and diagnostic or security events. This information is generally contained in server logs and is used to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the website.
Where the information comes from
We collect information directly from you and automatically from the device you use to access the website. If a colleague contacts us on behalf of your business, they may also provide your business contact details.
How and why we use personal information

| Manage our commercial relationship and keep appropriate records | Contact details and correspondence | Legitimate interests in running our business; and compliance with legal obligations where applicable |
| Operate, secure and improve the reliability of the website | Technical and usage information | Legitimate interests in providing a safe, reliable website and preventing misuse |
| Establish, exercise or defend legal claims | Relevant contact, technical and correspondence records | Legitimate interests in protecting our rights and complying with legal obligations |
We do not use information collected through this website to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We will ask for consent before sending optional electronic marketing where consent is required, and you can opt out of such messages at any time.
Who we share personal information with
We may share the minimum necessary information with:
- Vercel, which hosts and secures the website;
- Twilio SendGrid, which delivers demo-request emails to our team;
- our email, IT, security and professional advisers where needed to operate or protect the business; and
- courts, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights.
Service providers may only process information for the services they provide to us and under appropriate contractual obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information.
International transfers
Some of our technology providers operate internationally, so personal information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, and appropriate contractual and technical safeguards. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
How long we keep personal information
We normally retain enquiry and demo-request records for up to 24 months after our last meaningful contact. We may keep a record for longer where it becomes part of a customer relationship, is needed to meet tax, accounting or other legal requirements, or is reasonably required for a legal claim. Technical logs are retained for the shorter periods set through our hosting and security providers. When information is no longer required, we delete it or anonymise it.
How we protect personal information
We use appropriate organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections and reputable service providers. No internet service is completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential or sensitive information through the demo form.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis used, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to delete or restrict the use of your information;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent; and
- object to certain uses of your information.
Your right to object
You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You also have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing.
These rights are not absolute and may not apply in every case. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not charge a fee in the usual case and normally respond within one month.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not currently use analytics, advertising or personalisation cookies on this website. Essential hosting and security technology may process a request or use strictly necessary storage to deliver and protect the service. If we introduce non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and request consent where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, providers or legal obligations change. We will publish the new version here and change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site.
